Lesson Plan Tear Sheet

Overview: The concept of this lesson was for students to think about pop cultural icons that are relevant to them. Students viewed works by artist Andy Warhol such as Marilyn Diptych and Campbell’s Soup Cans.

By looking at these works, students were asked to notice the bold, graphic, and flat use of colors. The concept of the lesson was to do a pop cultural figure. Afterward, students were introduced to the process of reduction printmaking to create their own reduction print.
