Overview: Students were asked the Essential Question of the lesson? How do cultures of the past use to tell time? And does it compare telling time now?

The lesson’s theme was radial symmetry as it is seen in nature and in geometric shapes. Students discussed the clock’s orientation: clockwise or counter-clockwise as it relates to an analog concept and radial symmetry, and designed their clocks using clay.
